Art Courses Bath

I am a very lucky girl.

One of my best Christmas presents this year? A place on an art course of my choice run by Art Courses Bath.

So much choice! I eventually opted for a watercolour course run by the talented Wendy Jelbert.

I love using watercolours but I have to be honest: I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing.

At least I hadn’t...

Under Wendy's tutorledge I experimented with wash, colour, and masking fluid. I was quietly pleased with the results and will certainly approach landscapes with a little less fear than in the past! We also played around with Quink Ink...that stuff is liquid magic, I promise you.

A glorious lunch was provided in sublime surroundings with enchanting company. I can not tell you every little detail which made that day so special. At times I felt like a treasured guest at a country house party from a bygone age. Truly lovely.
