Another weekend: another dress rehearsal. After finishing some minor alterations to my Degas costume, I took the opportunity to dress up and sketch some self-portraits. I'm delighted by my Degas selfies (because they are soooo flattering), but that is clearly not me in the Cancan outfit!

I do absolutely love my Toulouse-Lautrec inspired high-kicking row of showgirls, though! Their faces may be more Quentin Blake than French Impressionist but the joy on their faces - that is us!

I'm always aquiver with excitement at show-time, but this time even more so. The first half theme is fairy tales, hence my beautiful Swan and gorgeous Pinocchio.

The theme for the second half, however, is Fine Art - my idea!!! How lucky am I to elegantly step into Degas' ballet class then, later in the show, high-kick my way through Lautrec's Moulin Rouge. I am in my element.
